FAQ
If I watch YouTube or Twitch on StreamSync in an embedded watch screen, does the host still get the views as normal?
Yes, embedded YouTube video views count when the video is embedded into a webpage and a user purposefully clicks on the video to play it. AutoPlay embeds may not always count, and as there’s limited official information about this, StreamSync avoids AutoPlay to ensure fairness to creators. By requiring you to manually click the video to start, StreamSync helps ensure you continue to support the creators and companies you care about.
What is Stream Sync?
Stream Sync is a platform designed to allow users to watch multiple live streams from YouTube and Twitch simultaneously, all synchronised for a seamless viewing experience. You can watch up to six streams at once, from different content creators, with their perspectives perfectly in sync.
How do I use Stream Sync?
Simply enter the URLs of the streams you want to watch into the input fields. Stream Sync will automatically synchronise the streams and display them in a grid layout, so you can enjoy multiple perspectives in one place.
Which video platforms does Stream Sync support?
Stream Sync currently supports both YouTube and Twitch. You can enter the URL of live streams or pre-recorded content from either platform; you will have to sync them as you don't have that control at this point.
Can I use Stream Sync on mobile devices?
Yes, Stream Sync works on mobile devices. However, due to screen size limitations, we recommend using no more than two to three streams on smaller screens for optimal viewing. For on-the-go use, a tablet or laptop offers a much better experience.
Can I use Stream Sync for pre-recorded content?
Yes, while Stream Sync is designed primarily for live content, you can use it to watch pre-recorded collaboration streams. However, syncing them to the right points must be done manually by the user, as Stream Sync does not control playback timelines. You can also simply watch up to six pre-recorded streams for any purpose, depending on your needs.
How many streams can I watch at once?
You can watch up to six streams at the same time. Whether from YouTube, Twitch, or a combination of both platforms, Stream Sync will keep them perfectly in sync for your convenience, but do keep your device type in mind.
Do I need to sign up or create an account to use Stream Sync?
Yes, you need to create an account to use Stream Sync. However, the service is currently free because of Beta, so you can enjoy all features without any cost currently.
Why isn’t the stream syncing properly?
If the streams aren’t syncing properly, make sure that the URLs are correct and that the streams are live. In some cases, there may be network delays or issues with the stream quality from YouTube or Twitch. We are continuously working on improving the platform to reduce such issues.
How do I provide feedback or report an issue?
We welcome any feedback or issues you encounter! You can reach out to us via the feedback widget at the bottom right. Your feedback helps us improve the platform.
Will Stream Sync be free to use?
Stream Sync is currently available for free in beta. We may explore premium features or additional functionalities in the future, as maintaining this site alone will take some time, but not currently sure yet.

What happens if I enter more than six URLs?
Plain and simple, you can't. This limit ensures a smooth viewing experience without overloading the system and filling your screen to much where you can't watch all views.
Are the streams private or public?
Stream Sync syncs public live streams. If the stream is private or restricted, it cannot be displayed. Make sure the stream you're trying to sync is available publicly.
Can I adjust the quality of the streams on Stream Sync?
YouTube or Twitch automatically adjusts the quality of each stream based on your internet speed. However, you can adjust the quality directly on the YouTube or Twitch stream player if needed.
